Reduces load on air conditioner
On hot summer days, an unventilated attic can reach temperatures of up to 135 degrees F. This excessive heat and humidity causes shingles to buckle. Heat radiates through the ceiling and into your home, putting an additional strain on your air conditioner. All these problems cost you money and discomfort.
Prolongs air conditioner life
With attic ventilators, hot, humid air is pulled out of your attic, lowering temperatures anywhere from 30 to 50 degrees F. Your air conditioner uses less energy and lasts longer with fewer expensive repairs. You can save up to 25% on the cost of cooling your home.

In the Fall and Winter

Protects roof
Removes moisture trapped in the attic that causes shingle buckling and wood rot. Also, helps snow and ice to melt evenly so it does not collect on the edge of the roof and refreeze, causing damage to guttering.

Saves insulation
Removes moisture before it condenses in the attic and settles in the insulation making the insulation ineffective. If insulation is not protected by ventilators, moisture accumulates on ceilings. This is a cause of peeling paint, mildew and ceiling deterioration.

Attic ventilators will not be effective if adequate outside air is not allowed to flow through the attic. Sufficient louver area is necessary and can be obtained through the use of soffit vents in most cases.
